2019....What a Great Year!

Dear Friend,

On behalf of everyone we serve at Carole’s House of Hope (CHH), thank you so much for your past support and Happy New Year! Your generosity has enabled us to keep our mission alive by providing high quality, comprehensive services nurturing the body, mind and spirit of those who call CHH home. Our ultimate goal is to give young women and their children the support that they need to find HOPE and ultimately independence.

We are hopeful that after reading about our successes, you will consider making a gift to Carole’s House of Hope. You too can be part of this mission.

Over the past year, CHH has provided over 4602 shelter nights to 35 women. This number does not include the shelter nights provided to their beautiful children. These women saw amazing successes; some were reunited with their children, others achieved educational goals such as earning a GED or becoming certified as a CNA. Still others became mothers for the first time. Five women chose CHH to be their home while welcoming babies. Homelessness often brings with it a history of abuse, addiction and mental illness. Goals were set and met during their time here and we are proud that our programming had a lot to do with that.

Most of our participants found themselves in need of transitional housing after aging out of the foster care system. Many already had children or were expecting a child. This year alone, 28 children were able to walk through the doors of CHH and say “I am home.” CHH is a place where they could depend on three healthy meals, warm clothing and a warm bed, every single day. They get to experience the joy of celebrating a birthday, hunting for Easter eggs or simply going to a movie while enjoying some popcorn. These simple things become monumental to a child who has gone without basic necessities.

Finally, your support also allows us to continue offering a very active After-Care Program. Our young ladies work hard to achieve independence for themselves and their children. However, at CHH you are Forever Family. Former participants and their children are always welcome to participate in group meals, support group sessions and celebrations. They have also been the recipients of money from our Scholarship Program in times of greatest need (unexpected medical expenses, vehicle expenses, etc.).

Your generous donation today can do so much for our young participants:

  • $50 pays for a young participant’s room deposit and a welcome basket (baby monitor, bed linens, toiletries, towels, laundry detergent) to get them settled

  • $150 pays for a half month of fees, deposit and welcome basket

  • $350 pays for a month of fees, deposit and welcome basket

  • $550 pays for a month of fees, $100 gift card for groceries/diapers, deposit and welcome basket

  • $750 pays for two months of fees, $100 gift card for groceries/diapers, deposit and welcome basket

Our home is currently at maximum capacity. We are grateful that we have become so well respected as a provider of transitional living, receiving referrals from agencies all over the city and county. With your support, we can continue to help every person who walks through our doors and give them a chance to live a healthy, productive life.

Sincerely,
